Happy Birthday! Now lets go east

I had a great birthday this year, like every year. Jocelyn came down to celebrate . It seemed too crazy to make a whole birthday meal the night before we left town and have plenty of left overs that we would never actually eat, so we went to Black Angus for dinner as a family.

The morning after my birthday we flew to Pennsylvania and spent the whole day pretty much in the airport before we went to bed. We spent the day in Philadelphia and saw the liberty bell, Franklin Court, met Grandma and Aunt Carmela at the B. Franklin Post Office, went to Independence Hall, had a Philly Cheese Steak for lunch, went to the Constitution Center, said good bye to Aunt Carmela, drove to Alantic City (where all your dreams come true), watched part of Conference, unpacked, had dinner, and went to bed. That was a long day, but I think it was worth it, I had a lot of fun.
We spent a week in Alantic City and in the surrounding areas. I was glad to be able to spend time with my sisters (since they were all there and we all lead busy lives) and with Aunt Carmela.

Do you remember?

I don't think our house looks like this any more, do you? I think I recognize the the station wagon on the right, but I'm not sure.

For the last several years Andrea has been scanning our family's pictures (its a giant project with the amount of pictures my mom takes) and has put them on Cd's for all of us so that we can have access to them. This morning I was looking at one of the Cd's and I ran across these pictures from 1993.

Do you remember playing in the back yard as kids? We had this awesome play set that was so much fun. It was right next to the garden when we had one. The fence fell down several years ago and took the play set with it.
Remember playing in the sprinklers on a hot summer day?

Choir

A year ago last week I was in Spain and Portugal with Choir. It was sad for those of us in choir who went because we were sitting in class saying "this time last year we were..." about the different things we had done. We had our Benefit Concert the day (and a year) after we got back. There were many talented members of the choir who were able to show off their talent.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

So in El Cajon, I've resigned myself to not having a White Christmas. However, this year (technically) we did have a white Christmas. So it may not have snowed, but it did rain. We were sitting there eating dinner up at Grandma's and I looked out the window and what did I see? WHITE, the rain was a mist that was white in the air. So a White Christmas in my book at least. I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and that it was a beautiful day (rain, snow, or sunshine).

Twilight is coming out in 11 days!!!

So, I went to my friends birthday party this last Saturday and it was Twilight themed. We had a fun time hanging out and all the girls were jealous that I had made Jolene a Twilight birthday card (apparently I have some of Jocelyn's creativity) and they all made me promise to make them each their own twilight birthday card for their birthdays (how can you resist when a room full of teenage girls mob you to make you promise something?). Making the card I searched the Internet for pictures and I thought that I would have to search for movie and book pictures, however the first eight pages had only one picture of a sunset. Of course the most awesome gift that Jolene got was one of the original movie posters (as in with the original release date). It seems to me that Harry Potter is afraid of Twilight because they postponed their release date.
I am looking forward to the movie coming out and am planning on seeing it with some of my friends on Friday.

For anyone who might be wondering, I did go on the date with Adam (and yes it was a month ago today) and had a great time. We got Chinese food and went over to the Granite football game(we lost) and hung out with my friends (after I performed with Choir). After the game we went back to my house and played phase ten with my parents.

I hope everyone can forgive me for not letting you know what has been going on in my life lately and I hope that everyone is well

Homecoming Queen?

Well the exciting news is that my dress came today and it fits this time!!! However, I did not make it onto court, so I will have to wear my dress at a different dance.

I am really enjoying most of my classes this year, math is challenging, but I really like it. I was talking to one of my friends saying that I didn't like one of my classes and she asked why I didn't like it, I had an "A." That was the problem, I barley had to put any effort into the class and got an A out of it.

Yesterday I was frustrated that I couldn't learn from my mistakes in Government because the teacher's attitude doesn't invite students to ask him questions, or to even give us a chance at looking over what we did wrong on the tests. So before class today, I asked him if I could find out what I got wrong on the test so that I can understand it better in the future, and to my surprise he said that I can come in tomorrow at lunch to look over what I got wrong, however I still don't know how I will know which questions I got wrong, but oh well at least I can try.
